About UsChubby's Packing Company is a family owned and operated business serving Southeast Texas for over 22 years. We are located one mile from the intersection of Hwy 105 and Hwy 146; near Moss Hill, Texas. We are a full service meat packing plant ranging from game hunt to sausage to domesticated animal processing, as well as retail meat in the store.In 1982 Aubrey "Chubby" Parrish built his first packing house on a small country road in Hardin, Texas (rural Liberty County, TX). A family owned and operated business, his son Cody took over the business in 1994 after receiving his degree in Business Management. Chubby's Packing soon out grew it's small location and needed to move. In 1999 a new slaughter house and retail meat market were constructed on highway 105 in Moss Hill just a few miles north of the old location. Chubby's sausage, a local favorite, was now being sold on a well traveled highway. After constant requests from customers to see the sausage move to grocery stores through Southeast Texas (including Houston metro), Chubby and his son Cody started construction on the new sausage plant facility. The facility was given a grant of inspection by The State of Texas Health Department and opened on April 13, 2007 to allow for Chubby's to take their old fashioned sausage to the masses. |
